Our training is grounded in the social model, which recognises that disability and disadvantage are often created by societal barriers rather than individual conditions. Staff learn to identify and remove those barriers, supporting people to live the lives they choose.
Every person has the right to dignity, choice, autonomy, and freedom from harm. Our courses embed human rights principles throughout, ensuring staff understand that rights are not optional add-ons but the foundation of good care.
Instead of focusing on what someone cannot do, we teach staff to identify and build on what they can. Strength-based practice empowers individuals, promotes independence, and leads to more positive outcomes for the people being supported.
Person-centred care means seeing the individual, not the condition. Our training helps staff understand each person's unique history, preferences, and aspirations, and tailor their support accordingly. It is not a buzzword; it is how we believe care should be delivered.
Trauma-informed care recognises that many of the people we support have experienced trauma, and that behaviour is often a response to past experience rather than a character trait. Our training equips staff to recognise the signs of trauma, avoid re-traumatising practices, and create environments built on safety, trust, and choice.
We believe people should be active partners in decisions about their own care, not passive recipients of it. Our training embeds co-production principles, supporting staff to listen, involve, and work alongside the people they support rather than deciding for them.

No. Caring Alliance is an independent care association alliance, not a regulator. It provides support to help care providers and workers meet CQC and Ofsted requirements, registration support, compliance audits, mock inspections, and training, but it has no regulatory authority itself and doesn't approve or inspect services.
No, training courses and the care management software products can be booked and purchased independently of Synergy membership. Membership adds ongoing advice, discounts, and support on top of those services, it isn't a requirement to access them.
The free resources are downloadable, fillable forms and checklists, things like a Safe Recruitment Checklist and a Compliance and Quality Audit Form, available to anyone at no cost. Synergy membership goes further, adding ongoing personalised advice and guidance, CPD opportunities, networking, and, at higher tiers, a dedicated account manager and strategic reviews.
Some are and some aren't. Safeguarding courses, Train the Trainer, and several of the social care and specialist courses lead to regulated qualifications, mainly through NOCN, OCN, and OCN NI, while statutory and mandatory training, international care worker training, and bespoke or in-house training are typically unaccredited training aligned to sector standards such as Skills for Care, rather than regulated qualifications. Check the specific course page for which applies.
It mainly comes down to how many staff need their own account and how much direct support you want. Individual suits a single care worker or practitioner, Small Provider suits organisations with up to 3 staff, Growing Provider (marked best value) suits 6 to 10 staff and adds a dedicated account manager, and Grown Provider suits established providers with 10 or more staff who want quarterly strategic reviews and bespoke compliance audits.
